The exposition of this book the place is is in a small town in Jacob Marley's house and around Christmas for three nights in the 1800s. The characters are Scrooge, Scrooges Nephew, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, The Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, and Jacob Marley's ghost. The problem of the story is that Scrooge is afraid that when he dies he will have chains just like is former business partner Jacob Marley since he was so greedy. The rising actions are when the Ghost of Christmas past showed Scrooge the person he once was and how he became more greedier. Then the Ghost of Christmas present showed him that he brings sadness to people and how that all families even lonely ones come together on Christmas. The climax was when the Ghost of Christmas yet to come showed him that no one will care when he died. It also showed that if he didn't help Tiny Tim would die. The falling action was when Scrooge said he would change for the better and began honoring Christmas. The resolution was Scrooge started doing good deeds, gave Bob Cratchit a raise, and went to his nephews Christmas party.
