  • Tell me a little more about that
  • I came up with the Virginia Plan.
  • After hearing everything everyone wanted to say... And everyone voted for the plan that people wanted the most.
  • The Virginia Plan was most voted for
  • Random Person: The smaller states don't think its fair.
  • Another random person: The larger states are gonna end up ruling!
  • They start to talk about how they will set up a strong but limited government.
  • People would be arguing over representation the legislature. In early July a committee offered The Great Compromise. To satisfy the smaller states, each state would have the same amount of votes in the senate. To satisfy the larger states the committee set representation in the house of Representatives according to how many people in the states.
  • They talk about the plan ideas the people have one by one.
  • We found a new government that suits us. Now we talk about representation.
  • Everyone Cheers that they found a government. Now they talk about representation based on the amount of people in the states
  • After the people voted for the best plan the smaller states didn't like the idea . They said that the bigger states would end up ruling over the smaller states.
  • We agree too!

  • We will be using the Three-fifths compromise for counting how many slaves there are in each state.

  • They argued and argued til one day someone came up with a compromise.
  • On July 19, 1787 they passed the Plan that has the likings of all the States that participated.
  • People were happy about there new government. Now they have to talk about another issue. Representation.
  • They decided that they would have to compromise for the representation for slaves. So they came up with the Three-Fifths Compromise. 3 out of 5 slaves would be counted for every state.
