Storyboard Text

  • The narrator tells how the old man has an eye. The eye is horrifying and an impediment on the narrator's life.
  • Exposition
  • OLD MAN
  • After aptly preparing aptly for the murder, the narrator snuck into his house and was almost caught by the old man.
  • Inciting Action
  • NARRATOR
  • Because the man heard footsteps, his heart is racing. The narrator is nervous about the heart beating, proposing a suppostion that neighbors can hear.
  • Rising Action
  • The narrator then has the audacity to murder the old man by sufficating him. After, the narrator disposes of the body by separating the limbs and hiding the body underneath the floorboards.
  • Climax
  • SAME HOUSE, DIFFERENT ROOM
  • Falling Action
  • The police then come to the old man's house, saying they were concirned about the scream coming from the old man's house. While the narrator was trying to explain himself, expecting impunity, he starts to hear a ringing. The ringing increases until he can take it anymore and comfesses his crimes
  • Denoument
  • Now he lies in jail with nothing but musty walls and steel bars circumscribing him.
