Storyboard Text

  • Why are they living like this? If only they had fire, they could do so much more.
  • Whatever. I'm going to do it anyway.
  • Hey! I think that mankind deserves fire! Look at the way they are living!
  • The Story of Prometheus and Pandora's Box
  • Athena's just mad because she's not as pretty and talented as me.
  • I shall open this box!
  • Prometheus was one to think of the future every time. As a matter of fact, his nickname was Forethought. He had seen how dreadful and miserable the people were living like, so it became his intention to change that by creating fire.
  • *GASP*
  • With this thought in mind, Prometheus boldly asked Jupiter, the Mighty One, for the creation of fire. However, Jupiter rejected the idea. He was afraid that the people might rebel against the 'Mighty Ones' and disrupting their happiness. Prometheus ignored Jupiter, and he decided to make fire anyway.
  • Prometheus also taught the people how to do some other simple tasks, and when Jupiter saw this from above, he was beyond angry. Jupiter decided to punish mankind first, so he and others made a woman named Pandora and she had every gift you could wish for. Pandora married Prometheus's brother, Epimetheus, and she was given a box from Jupiter. However, Athena warned Pandora not to open it.
  • When Pandora opened the box, out came scary, disgusting creatures that represented diseases and cares. Pandora quickly closed the box, but most of the creatures were already out. They nestled in the bosoms of men, children, and women sickening and killing them.
