  • Th Treaty of Versailles was the end of World War 1. Britain but especially France wanted to punish Germany.  In the treaty, Germany basically had to claim all responsibility for the cause of the war.
  • D-day
  • The National Socialist German Workers Party, or the Nazi Party ruled Germany through totalitarian means. Hitler was the leader of this party and once he gained control of Germany's government, he wanted to undo the Treaty of Versailles.  
  • Holocaust
  • Pearl Harbor was a tragic event for many in Honolulu, Hawaii. A U.S naval base that was there had a devastating surprise attack by Japanese forces. 
  • Nuremberg Trials
  • World War II on which Allied forces invaded northern France by means of beach landings in Normandy.
  • The Holocaust was a genocide during World War 2 in which Nazi Germany murdered approximately 6 million jews. 
  • Judges from the Allied powers—Great Britain, France, the Soviet Union, and the United States—presided over the hearings of twenty-two major Nazi criminals. Twelve prominent Nazis were sentenced to death.
