The people of the Nuer tribe gather around the area between the two trees to see what the men were talking about.
The men, that have developed into a large team, work tirelessly, supposedly working to find clean water beneath the ground.
One day, when word had spread throughout the village about the men nearing the end of their work, and discussion about a well, which meant school, for everyone, had grown; a large geyser of water rushed out of the ground. It was dirty, but everyone knew that soon, their village would prosper from the newfound water source.
Nya and Dep discus once again about the men. Dep says that they are creating a well for the village, so that kids can go to school, including girls. Nya is happy, and the supposed boss of the operation suddenly seems like a very interesting person to introduce herself to, which Nya decides to do.
Nya is overjoyed about her future, and the future of her village, and she has gained a sense of hope. She runs to meet the leader of the operation, wishing to thank him for everything.
Nya walks up to the man, and introduces herself. "Hello" she says. "My name is Nya." The man looks down to Nya. "Hello Nya," he responds. "I'm Salva."
