  • Polybus was no kin to you in blood 
  • Oedipus Rex shows Harmatia because he kill his father.In scene 2,it says,"I became angry...And then i killed them all".This means that from the moment he killed the men in the crossroad,he caused his downfall.
  • Anagnorisis 
  • Oedipus Rex shows Hubris because he was arrogant.In scene 2, it says,"Out of pride is born the tyrant.The man who is arrogant and does not fear the gods.And blasphemes in the holy places."This means he was arrogant,prideful and he insulted the gods. 
  • Nemesis 
  • oh no,why me ?
  • Oedipus Rex shows Peripeteia when  the messenger told him he isn't the son of polybus.In scene 3,it says,"Polybus was no kin to you in blood."This means that through  this act,it led him to his terrible fate.
  • Catharsis 
  • Oedipus Rex shows Anagnorisis when he figured out he killed his father and married his mother.In scene 4,it says,"The child was his child ...Cursed is my life."This means he  finally realized he couldn't escape from the prophecy.
  • Oedipus Rex shows Nemesis when he tried to escape his fate,but it still happened.In scene 2 ,it says,"when i heard this i fled so that the terrible prophecies would not come true."This means Oedipus thinks he can escape the prophecy, but he can't.
  • Oedipus Rex shows Catharsis when at the end he stabbed his eyes out.In Exodus,it says,"he tore the brooches from her and lifted them up high and dashed them into his own eyeballs."This shows Catharsis because this moment pass a feeling of pity or fear to the audience.
