  • Creepy houses. Every neighborhood has one. Nobody wants them. Everyone thinks they should be torn down. This is what happened when someone did. They tore down the house, built a new one there, and let people move in.Taylor age 10: I was so excited to go see the house for the first time. We were moving and had to find the perfect house. We got there and I could tell this was the one. We looked at it. I loved it, we moved in the next week. I still wonder what happened in the basement.
  • Taylor, you're a kind, smart, beautiful girl, remember to always stay brave.
  • . They wouldn’t show us the basement and my parents always left it locked. This particular night, both of my parents were at work, they usually didn’t work at the same time but my mom was on call. It was cold outside but somehow it was colder inside. I went outside to try to get warmer and the breeze stung my face. All of a sudden the phone rings. I dash inside only to grab it a second late. Then I smelt it. Very faintly but enough for it to be recognizable. Metal? Maybe Iron.
  • Then it hit me, it was blood. The smell reminded me of when i was little and I cut myself on a knife.I wanted to run and hide but I thought back to my grandma. When she was laying in the hospital bed.  The last words she said to me “Taylor you’re a kind, smart, beautiful girl, remember to always stay brave.” thinking of this, I found courage, deep inside myself. So, shakily I turned the doorknob. I was surprised when I found the door to be unlocked. Little did I know I was about to be face to face with my worst nightmare.
  • Thinking of this, I found courage, deep inside myself. So, shakily, I turned the doorknob. I was surprised when I  found the door to be unlocked. Little did I know I was heading toward my worst nightmare. Walking down the stairs I tried to be quiet but with every step I heard a thundering noise. Clip clop, clip clop it echoed.
  • Clip clop, clip clop it echoed. Next thing I knew I was at the bottom of the stairs. The smell of blood was stronger now.To find out where it was coming from, I turned on the light. I was face to face with him.My dad. I sprinted up the stairs only to find that the door was locked. I looked at my dad “Why?” I asked “Why would you do this?”  he replied a short “You wouldn’t understand.” Then I remembered that my mom and dad drive to work together.
  • I knew she had to be somewhere, but where. He was closer when I heard the screams for the first time. He obviously heard them too because he spun around.
