What do you want to know, son?
Hey Dad! I had a question about the American Revolution.
Well you see son, the Proclamation of 1963 forbade the colonists to settle west of the Appalachian Mountains.
I was curious about what the Proclamation of 1763 was.
Because, The British had won the French and Indian war. Some Native Americans missed the gifts French bestowed, and were not happy to find out they were under British rule.
And why is that? Why did the British not allow them there?
The colonists were upset because they couldn't settle west of the Appalachian Mountains. They reacted by going anyway.
So, how did the colonists react?
Indeed. The British reacted by burning their homes.
I assume the British did not like that very much?
No problem son. Although I do appreciate you asking me questions, please pay attention in class. Otherwise, it'll become a habit.
Wow. Well, thanks dad. I didn't know this because I wasn't paying attention in class today.
