Storyboard Text

  • Polonius sends Reynaldo to spy on Laertes while he is in Paris.
  • Reynaldo, make sure you keep a good eye on my son.
  • I will, my lord
  • Ophelia describes how Hamlet came to her in distraught. Hamlet came into Ophelia's room with his shirt unbuttoned, wearing no hat, and in a daze. He then grabbed Ophelia by the arm, and stared deep into her eyes, and walked away backwards.
  • Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are sent to spy on Hamlet for the King and Queen.
  • If it is your wish.
  • Report back to us what you find out, for we have no clue what is going on with him.
  • Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, my wife and I need you to watch Hamlet for us.
  • Polonius tells the King and Queen that Hamlet is mad because of Ophelia's rejection of his love, based on the letters he has found from Hamlet. The King is unconvinced and asks for some proof.
  • Hamlet enters as the Queen and King are leaving. Polonius tries to talk to Hamlet, but he replies with answers that make no sense to Polonius.
  • Of course I do. You are a fishmonger.
  • Hamlet, my lord, do you know who I am?
  • Rosencrantz and Guildenstern enter in and talk to Hamlet. Hamlet figures out that the Queen and King sent Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. Hamlet tell them that he is depressed.
  • My lord, we were sent for by the King and Queen.
  • That is good, for I am lost. Lost in sadness.
  • I would of never thought of you being in this much pain, my lord.
