Hecuba the Queen of Troy, was going to give birth to her newest son, and then she had a terrible dream that she gave birth to a flaming torch!
Hecuba told her husband, and her husband decided to consult the prophets, they believed dreams came true and instructed the king to have the baby killed at birth.
The king couldn't stand having to kill his son, so he found Agelaos and ordered him to kill him, in order to prove that he killed him the king to Agelaos to bring back the tongue of his son.
Agealos obeyed the king and took Paris to a far away field; but once he got there he couldn't bring himself to kill the king's son. So, the baby was left to die on a mountain side where he was sure to be killed by wild animal.
The next day Agealos returned, and he found Paris safe with 3 bears. In order to please the king he found a wild dog and took the animals tounge.
He couldnt bring himslef to tell the king so, he decided to take Paris in as his own.
