Pip's Journey By: Andrew Freuler and Lucas George
Pip is told by a man named Jaggers that a secret benefactor has given Pip money so he can leave the forge and Joe, and go to London to learn how to become a gentleman. As Estella is still Pips motivation in the rising action, he willingly accepts the offer and travels to London to begin his training.
While in London Pip learns a lot about Estella and Miss Havisham's dark past. He also finds out who his secret benefactor is. His benefactor is a man named Magwitch, who is a criminal, and if he is caught in London he will be hung, so Pip and his friend Herbert try everything they can to get him out of London. This is the climax of the book when their plan fails, and Magwitch is sent to be hung, but he is so sick that he dies the next day anyway.
Pip now learned that there is more to life than just his money, and he has made new connections, and seen what has happened to those around him throughout their lives.
Pip finally learns to accept that he is no longer a rich gentleman in London and travels back to the marshes to re-associate himself with the good people that were in his life, Joe, and Biddy.
To resolve the book Pip decides to go to the Satis house where he had been invited played all those years ago. While at the house he finds Estella and they vow to never leave each other again.
