The Assassination of Franz Ferdinand
The assassination of Franz Ferdinand is to be believed what started WW1. He was the heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire. His wife and Franz Ferdinand were shot to death by a Serbian nationalist. They were traveling to Sarajevo,Bosnia and that is were they were killed in 1914.
Princip was the name of the assassin who shot Franz Ferdinand and his wife. Princip was about to take his own like with the same gun he used to kill them. He couldn't do it because and angry bystander jumped on him and an angry mob followed. The limousine they were riding in went to try and find help but they died and hour later from the shots.
After the shooting of Franz Ferdinand Austria-Hungary began to blame the Serbian government for the attack. Others say they used the assassination as a way to settle the Slav nationalism once and for all.
Since Russia supported the Serbians, the deceleration of war on them by the Austro-Hungarians was postponed. Until the Austrian leaders got an assurance from Germany's leader they couldn't do anything.
On July 28th Austria declares war on the Serbians. They go up against Russia, Belgium, France, Great Britain and Serbia. All of these forces are lined up to fight against Austria.
Germany and Austria prepare for war against Russia, Belgium, France, Great Britain and Serbia. This will be the beginning of World War 1.
