Siddhartha is born in an odd way. His mother had a dream about him and she was carried over the Himalayas to a silver mountain and an elephant struck her side. Queen Maya and the king asked the Brahmins to explain the dream she had and they told her that her prince could rule the world or become a buddha.
Prince Siddhartha's father protected him from wanting to go to the outside world and starting his own path. The king used his servants to provide everything he needs.
After the prince had a son and was married his father let him see more of the outside world. He began to go on trips. As the trips went on, Siddhartha saw scenes with aging, sickness, and death. After his third trip he met an ascetic and he learned a man could be free of suffering if he were to give up his desires, pleasures, and comforts.
