  • In the Paleolithic Age, people rarely traded with other people.
  • People learned to travel easier by crossing mountain on foot, they rode donkeys across deserts and sailed the Mediterranean Sea on ships.
  • Women learned to trade things for "beauty products" to put on their lips and cheeks to make them redder. These "beauty products" were shell ornaments and a red ore called hematite.
  • The growth of trade impacted people by allowing them to make use of more resources.
  • It also brought them into contact with people from distant places.
