Storyboard Text

  • “No, sir,” I says, “I don’t want to spend it.  I don’t want it at all—nor the six thousand, nuther.  I want you to take it; I want to give it to you—the six thousand and all.”
  • Then I turned around and there he was.  I used to be scared of him all the time, he tanned me so much.
  • He got to hanging around the widow’s too much and so she told him at last that if he didn’t quit using around there she would make trouble for him. Well, wasn’t he mad?  He said he would show who was Huck Finn’s boss.
  • I took a good gap and a stretch, and was just going to unhitch and start when I heard a sound away over the water.  I listened.  Pretty soon I made it out.  It was that dull kind of a regular sound that comes from oars working in rowlocks when it’s a still night.
  • Pretty soon he gapped and stretched himself and hove off the blanket, and it was Miss Watson’s Jim!  I bet I was glad to see him.
