Storyboard Text

  • At around 3500 BCE there are five places where the early humans began to settle down and begin to farm and advance technologically.
  • In Egypt people began to settle by the nile. These people were isolated by the surrounding seas and deserts, and for centuries lived in relative peace.
  • Despite setbacks, this monuement of King Menes must be completed within the year
  • In what is now modern day China there was the Shang Dynasty, an aristocracy in the Bronze Age who ruled with their wealth and their fear.
  • If only we could get rid of this guy...
  • In modern day India the Indus River Valley civliziation build two large cities, Mohenjo Daro and  and Harappa. Right after their golden age, however, they disappear for an unknown reason.
  • At the Eastern side of the Mediterranean sea there are the Phonecians were a major trading country that traded in cedar wood, ivory, and most well known, their purple dyes. There were also the Minoans, who ally disappeared. Lastly there were the Isrealites, who created the first monotheistic religion and inspired Christianity and Islam.
  • In the Americas the Mesoamerican and South American cultures started to advance, and the Olmec Mother Culture began to create their stone heads. Later the Zapotec and Chavin cultures would be created.
  • Let's turn this giant boulder into a head!
