  • Pick who you want, me or my niece Athena.
  • Every town in ancient Greek hoped a God would look after their town. Poseidon loved to rule the town's that are on the coast because he is the God of the Sea.
  • Climax
  • Ok we'll see
  • I have a idea, me and my uncle will give you a gift and you will decide.
  • Just like Poseidon loved coastal towns so did other Gods. Athena and Poseidon noticed a new coastal village at the same time and each one claimed it was their own.
  • Falling action
  • These olives are delicious!
  • Why is this water so salty?
  • Poseidon wanted the people of the town to choose between him or his niece Athena. But the people did not want to choose they were afraid of the trouble that would happen.
  • Resolution
  • I declare Athena the God of Wisdom your new leader!
  • Athena daughter of Zeus, God of wisdom understood why the people were afraid. So she had a challenge where each one of them gives a gift and the people would choose which gift they liked most.
  • Poseidon gifted the people a water stream they were happy at first but when they tasted the water it was too salty. Athena gifted the people an olive tree the people were very happy with this tree because it can be very useful.
  • The people loved Athena's gift a lot, but they were scared from Poseidon to get angry. So Poseidon decided for them and he announced his niece Athena the winner. In her honor they named their town after her.
