  • we don't have our own political representatives and why on earth not.
  • It is their own fault really for we don't have the vote so we must introduce a reform.
  • Yes ,they caused this not us.
  • They gave parliament three petitionsa vote for all men (over 21)the secret ballotno property qualification to become an MPpayment for MPselectoral districts of equal sizeannual elections for ParliamentParliament were given the petitions in 1839,1842 and 18489.
  • On 10th April in 1848 the Chartist movement organised a big meeting on Kennington Green
  • The labour party showed the Chartists as forerunners in the early 19th century
  • I couldn't actually find anything bad consequences of the Chartist movement other than it displeased the Government,because it could take power away from them.
  • Despite not being successful when it came to an end in 1858.The influenced people continuing to campaign for electoral reforms.
  • And all the things they wanted were eventually achieved.
