The Tsunami

Storyboard Text

  • Okay, we can make due.
  • I won't be able to give you any morphine though because it will encourage the bleeding.
  • Then, I went to my room and laid down for a while, extremely lucky that I was alive.
  • Wow, that is extremely lucky that you survived against all of the odds, I am very grateful that you made it.
  • Yes, I know, I am extremely lucky to still be here today at 96 years old.
  • Just so I have a better understanding, why did you get locked out of the body of the ship when everyone else was inside?
  • Well, it was currently my job to be on watch, and we took 4 hour shifts throughout the day, so the tsunami was bad timing for me.
  • Wow, I feel like today there would definitely be a better tsunami protocol to protect people from accidents like this.
  • Oh, for sure, during my time in World War 2 there weren't as many safety precautions as there are today unfortunately.
  • Thank you so much for telling me this story! It was amazing to hear about this experience and your story was very interesting! I'll try to call again in the next 2 weeks!
  • And that, is my story, thank you for listening Aidan!
