Storyboard Text

  • I have to work here because my family needs money and I am not smart enough to work elsewhere.
  • I have been working here for a month. The conditions are dangerous and unsanitary.
  • We have to work long hours as well. These hours are painful to work in the factory.
  • Mark is sad because he has to work at a sweatshop because his family needs money and he can't work anywhere else. This is a common problem in foreign countries that have sweatshops.
  • Finally our work is done. We don't get paid enough for how much we work.
  • Amanda is explaining to Mark how the working conditions of the sweat shop are bad. Most sweatshops are dangerous to work at and the workers get hurt often. I think that this is bad.
  • I can't work anywhere else because i'm not smart enough. The money I make is used for food so I can't afford to have an education.
  • Amanda is mad because the sweatshop makes her work long and hard hours. The sweatshops have long working hours and don't give their employees good pay for the hours.
  • We make a 90% profit from our products. I think we could raise the workers pay to 6 dollars an hour.
  • We could also make the shop safer to work at.
  • The kids have to work long hours and their pay is very low. This is one of the problems with sweatshops. Their employees don't get paid enough. This is bad because the people will never be able to move on from the sweatshops because all of their money is used for food.
  • The sweat shops don't pay their employees enough to have an education. This is a problem because the people have to work in these sweatshops because they aren't smart enough to work elsewhere.
  • The boss of the factory is considering raising the workers pay to make them happier. The other boss is suggesting to make the work environment safer. This would be a good start to making sweatshops a better job.
