This is where Buck and Spitz get into there big fight after Buck gets mad at Spitz.
Come on Spitz. Since you think you're so tough, come fight me.
There were growls and snarls in the night as dogs surrounded the two dogs from a distance, fight in the night. "In vain Buck strove to sink his teeth in the neck of the big white dog." (Page 39)
Buck has successfully beaten Spitz, and put his pack out of danger. "Then Buck sprang in and out, but while he was in, shoulder had it last squarely met shoulder. The dark circle became a dot on the moon-flowed snow as Spitz disappered from the view." (Page 40)
Francois and Perrault were awake and ready to move, when they found Spitz dead, killed by Buck. "Eh? Wot I say? I spik true w'en I say dat Buck two devils." (Page 41, beginning of Ch. 4)
