Our story begins with Amulius, (on the right) and Numitor (on the left). Numitor had a beautiful daughter, Rhea Silvia. Declared by Amulius, she became a vestal virgin. (making her unable to have children nor get married.)
But the God Mars came to her and Rhea became pregnant with Romulus and Remus! As soon as Amulius found out, he worried that Rhea's story is true, making Mars the father and making the children outright unkillable.
They'll be fine, Acca.
Scared, Amulius kidnapped the children to find a new way to get rid of them, he knew that they would overthrow him someday and didn't want that to happen. He threw them in the river, hoping that they would drown. (If they didn't, at least it's no longer his problem.)
Sorry Amulius, Karma.
The boys were then discovered by a she-wolf, who instead kept them and fed them with her milk instead of eating them for dinner. Helping the she-wolf was a woodpecker. Who found food for the children. But later on, the boys are discovered by a shepherd and his wife. (Fastulus and Acca)
Furious after learning about their origin, the now grown Romulus and Remus set out for revenge on Amulius. Romulus and Remus had now reached adulthood and were now prepared to defend themselves.
Remus and Romulus had returned and instantly fought Amulius, Amulius was good, but Romulus and Remus killed him in the end.
