  • Chapter 1
  • George we can live off the fatta' the lan'  
  • Yup lets go work
  • Chapter 2
  • Chapter 3
  • George!!!
  • Get 'im Lennie!
  • The story begins when the two workers Lennie and George travel along the Salinas River trying to find work. They talk about working at a ranch and their future.  Lennie likes soft things but George is considerate of work and other things.
  • Chapter 4 
  • "Any you boys seen Curley?"
  • In the 2nd chapter . the workers goes over to the ranch and to the Bunk House. They first meet Candy with his old dog, the boss, and his Son name Curley who doesn't like Lennie already.
  • Chapter 
  • "I done a bad thing. I done another bad thing."
  • Candy's dog gets put down by Carlson and Candy offers George $300 if they let him go with them to the future house they are wanting to live in.  After Lennie thanks Slim for the pup, Curley tries to beat up on Lennie but he ends up breaking Curleys hand. 
  • Chapter 6
  • Lennie and Candy talks to Crooks about the house they are going to own in the future . Then they see Curley's wife asking if they seen him . 
  • In the 5th chapter, Lennie accidently kills another soft animal again and buries it.  Then Curley's wife comes in to talk to Lennie since she has no one else to talk to. She lets Lennie feel her hair and he freaks out and hangs onto it. He accidentally breaks her neck.
  • After everyone else knew about Curley's wife's death, Curley decides that he was gonna take Carlson's gun and shoot Lennie in the gut to suffer. But George wasn't gonna let them hurt his own friend. Instead he goes to the brush where they meet and kills him which was the rightful thing to do.
