Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • I would be honored, your highness. I hope you do not mind my son, Icarus.
  • You are so clever Daedalus! How would you like to work for me?
  • I will see if I can find out who this maze will be for.
  • Rising Action
  • Father, I wonder who this prison will be for?
  • Rising Action
  • You are one of the best inventors, Daedalus. I can't have you and your son telling everyone about my plans.
  • Just let us go please!
  • King Minos hires Daedalus to build a castle and a special prison.
  • Climax
  • A pair of wings so we can fly away from King Minos!
  • Daedalus and Icarus start building the "Labyrinth" a very complex prison that no one will be able to get out of except for King Minos, Daedalus and Icarus.
  • Falling Action
  • Daedalus finds out that the labyrinth was made for the foul beast the Minotaur. Him and his son beg him to leave, but are instead locked up until they die.
  • Resolution
  • Daedalus crafts a two pairs of wings so he and Icarus can escape from King Minos' prison. He uses feathers from birds and candle wax to keep the feathers together.
  • What are you making father?
  • Once they make it into the air, Daedalus reminds his son not to fly too close to the sun, which would make the wax on his wings melt.
  • "Not too high, Icarus!"
  • Look father! I can fly so high!
  • Icarus flies too close to the sun causing the wax on his wings to melt and him to plummet to his death.
