  • Shepard, inheriting a huge expensive space ship on his first ever mission by mistakenly waging war on an alien race and winning the first fight, thinks he can win every fight by charging in head first.
  • Shepard as a Tragic Hero
  • Hamartia: The flaw that brings down the character.
  • Shepard refuses reinforcements and attempts to end the war before it starts by running off with soldiers to kill the heart controlling the opposing alien race, and ends up making everything worse.
  • Meddling Humans!
  • Hubris: Extreme pride
  • Shepard blasts off to deep space to explore the aliens more in depth during which he manages to make the aliens super angry, and they prepare for an attack on Shepard's ship.
  • I'll make this right myself!
  • Peripeteia : Reversal of Fate
  • Anagnorisis: When the hero makes a critical discovery
  • These aliens are being controlled by another species of aliens!
  • Shepard confronts the controller, and Shepard must decide between saving himself, or every species in the universe from the opposing aliens.
  • Nemesis: Fate cannot be reversed.
  • Only massive amounts of deaths across the universe could end the reign of the evil aliens.
  • Catharsis: Tone, in this case pity, the audience is left with after the heroes fall.
