  • British would kidnap U.S. sailors and force them to join their Royal Navy. 
  • Impressment  
  • British sought alliances with the American Indian tribes and supplied the Indians with weapons and supplies.
  • British support of Indians 
  • The navies of America and Britain fought at sea again on August 19th, 1815.
  • English and American forces battled at Lake Erie on September 10, 1813 but the Americans took control of the battle, using heavy power to weaken the Royal Navy.
  • Battle of Lake Erie/Put-In-Bay 
  • The Burning of Washington D.C.
  • General Robert Ross led British to destroy everything in the path up to the Capitol, Washington, D.C.. this included the White House.
