Storyboard Text

  • Scene I
  • I, Sir Edward the Brave, am the best knight in all the land. I am smart, courageous, and good looking. No one compares to me!
  • Scene II
  • A great evil possessing great power shall come along, and only the strongest and most powerful knight can defeat him!
  • Surely, it will be I, Sir Edward, who is the best knight of all.
  • Scene III
  • Has he gone mad?!?!?
  • If I do not defeat this enemy, then let my body be turned to dust!
  • Or is he really as brave as he says?
  • Sir Edward the Brave is one of the best knights in the land. He was the highest ranking and was trusted by the King the most. However, Edward is very arrogant and doesn't realize that his cockiness is going to hurt him in the future.
  • Scene IV
  • I WILL NOT LOSE THE TOP POSITION! I am too great to be defeated by some lower ranked knight. I SHALL NOT LOSE!
  • One day, a prophet named Gregory came along telling a prophecy about a strong knight that would defend the land from a great evil. Edward was sure that the knight in the prophecy was him, a his confidence boosted even higher than it was before.
  • Scene V
  • I'm sorry, but we have no use for knights like YOU around here. You have humiliated the royal family, and THAT is unforgivable!
  • Sir Edward grew so sure that he would conquer this evil being that the called out to the gods saying, "if I am by chance not to beat this evil being then let the gods strike me dead!"
  • Scene VI
  • How could I have been SO stupid?!?! I lost my job, my honor, and most importantly, my pride! Please god, end my life, put me out of my misery, I cannot dwell in this world much longer! WHY ME?! WHY ME?!
  • It turns out that the "great evil" was just another knight. However, this knight was here for a reason. This knight, named Sir William, was here to claim the position of top knight that Edward had currently held. William had challenged him to a battle for the top position, and Edward, being who he was and had have already made a deal with the gods, could not decline.
  • However, the battle did not go exactly as Edward had planned. He had lost brutally to Sir William because he was blinded by his own cockiness. Edward did not just get de-ranked however, but he was dismissed all together and thrown out to the street.
  • PLEASE! Give me another chance! I BEG OF YOU!
  • So, Sir Edward was thrown out to the street. William had taken the top spot, the prophecy was correct, and he was no longer associated with the royal family. He was left out for the animals and townspeople to do whatever they want to him. Once the greatest knight in the land, Sir Edward lay in the middle of the street, waiting for his own depression to kill him. It looks like the gods won this one.
