Storyboard Text

  • Hamartia: a Fatal Flaw
  • Hubris: Pride or Self-Confidence
  • Peripeteia: a Sudden Change of Fortune
  • Impulsivity, Romeo's flaw, forces him to change his mind quickly. For example, he makes the decision to leave Rosaline, and go to Juliet so quickly.
  • Anagmorisis: a Critical Discovery
  • Romeo's reversal of Fortune comes when he kills Tybalt, and gets banished; because at the beginning he was at the top of Fortune's wheel, and when that happened he started going down.
  • Nemesis: the Inescapable Agent of Downfall
  • Catharsis: Releasing Repressed Emotions
