Storyboard Text

  • A desolate island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean
  • A small ship with a crew of 6 people have washed up in shore after a shipwreck
  • Thank God we found this island and everybody is alright. Now people, lets stay calm and find solutions. Let's see who we have and what they could do
  • A few minutes later
  • And finally we have Thomas Hobbes. He is an english philosopher that has made groundbreaking thoughts in modern western philosophy. He talks about the state of nature, social contract and more in his book leviathan. We can rely on him to make sure we make whats morally corect from here on out
  • I don't think Hobbes is okay right now
  • What Fighting??
  • The fighting will start any second now
  • Don't you get it!!There is no government, no social contract, no system. We are in the state of nature. Any moment now we're going to start killing each other and live in costant war. We'll have a short, nasty and violent life if we do nothing
  • Not having a government does not mean we have to kill each other
  • Yes it does! Humans in the state of nature are like that. We fight for power, all of us are going to die, especially Timmy.
