Tau and Imani knew that Africa was too dry and that if they stayed they would die of starvation or dehydration. There was no way of growing food so they had to leave.
So they took a boat and followed the rivers as far as they could take them, hoping they would find a more liveable place.
When they finally made it shore, they didn't know where they were. All they knew was that this place more livable and had lots of vegetation.
As the river no longer continued, they had to walk to try and find an animal to kill, plants to eat or a civilisation to communicate with.
They kept walking, day and night. The snow started falling and they needed warm clothes and a place to stay to help they survive.
What they found out to be the 'Ice Age' was in full swing and they learned that one of the best ways to survive was to follow the animals.
