Storyboard Text

  • TItle:  Since the title is ¨The Roaring Twenties¨ I´m guessing that this is describing what was going on at this time.
  • Women Rights Matter!
  • Paraphrase: Young women found freedom by trying new and different trends,  (short hair, short dressed, smoking and cursing in public) while all the flappers danced.
  • Let´s stay up all night and drink!
  • Connotation: A bull in the market causes prices to soar Then Wall Street collapses and drowns out the roar.
  • $20 for one water!
  • Everything is more Expensive!
  • Oh well..
  • Attitude: I think the "attitude" of this poem or The Roaring Twenties is the social and political change and/ or how America was reacting to the depression of the World War.
  • This is so much better than when/ before the World War! Whoppe!
  • Before..
  • Shift: It seems like the story began in the early 1920´s which is when everyone was new to change and very happy, the poet talked about what was happening throughout and until when the roaring 20´s came to an end .(The Stock Market Crash)
  • After..
  • Theme: The theme of this poem is the experience and how people reacted to the changes. This is also talking about how everything changed from the beginning of the 1920's towards the ends.
  • Everything is changing so quickly!
