Storyboard Text

  • THEN WHY IS JANE'S BABY ALREADY TALKING AND MINE ISN'T?!
  • Ma'am, some babies are just more advanced than others. In some cases, children who are gifted *may* begin speaking sooner than the average child-
  • A-Average? What does that mean, how is Annie just...*average*? Why isn't she gifted?!
  • Ma'am, at this point the difference isn't anything worth worrying about. Gifted children are simply born with brains that may have the potential for development that's a bit accelerated in certain areas. Annie's developing just fine at the normal rate.
  • At seven months, the average baby shows an increase in mobility, scooting or crawling around, and Annie is doing just that. I've seen her laugh, babble, make eye contact, she plays, you've said she can pull herself up. I'm not worried at all.
  • She's developing wonderfully and is in perfect health, you and your husband are very lucky.
