Storyboard Text

  • Pathos- “When that the poor have cried,Caesar hath wept.”
  • Logos- "Had you rather Caesar were living and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead, to live all free men?"
  • Ethos- "Octavius, I have seen more days than you... to ease ourselves of divers slanderous loads, he shall but bear them as the ass bears gold,"
  • Antony connects the people's problem to Caesar. He says that Caesar cried for them even though nothing was happening to him personally. He is trying show the people that Caesar cared for them and he was not a Tyrant. The people respond exactly how Antony wants then to react and the people rebel. This is an example of Pathos.
  • Brutus tries to reason with the people to argue that they would be slaves under Caesar's rule. This claim goes hand-in-hand with his claim that Caesar was ambitious. He was trying to appeal to the mind by asking them a question. This is a a good claim besides the fact that he does not have any evidence to support this. This is an example of Logos.
  • Antony is telling Octavius that he is older than him and to trust him because he is older. This is evident in the way he says, " I have seen more days than you". He is saying that he is a honorable man and has experience in the field. He gets the desired reacting from Octavius and they proceed with their plans. This is an example of Ethos.
