"A poor man had twelve children and was forced to work night and day to give them even bread." (Grimm, 1). The short story, Godfather Death, by Brothers Grimm was written in third person omniscient. In a third person omniscient story, it is written where the narrator is not a character in the story and words such as he and she are used. Omniscient means that the narrator knows and tells about what the characters think and feel.
"When the physician came to the sick girl’s bed, he saw Death by her feet." (Grimm, 4). The short story, Godfather Death, took place during the medieval times, or the middle ages. The story took place at multiple locations including; the highway, forest, hospital, castle, and death's cave.
"Immediately the physician fell on the ground, and now he himself was in the hands of Death." (Grimm, 5). In the end everyone will end up dying. Also, someone's greed can overtake anything in life and no one can escape death. The boy went against what Death told him to do therefore Death took his life since he did not listen.
