The well to do whites lived on quite,shady boulevards in houses with many big rooms and bright, soft rugs on the floors,every house had trimmed lawns with pretty flowers. On the other side of the town which peopled called the respectable black section of the town.homes were small,ram shack,infested with cockroaches etc,that was poor but others where poorer
by the end of the 1950s one of in four Americans lived below the poverty line. the movement of the middle class to the suburbs made these people inadvisable.
many of the farmers that lived in america faced poverty because of the low pay that they got from doing all of this work.
