  • The War At Sea
  • Impressment... is when both sides tried to disrupt American trade to the other side. During the war, the British began to support the Indians. They provided the Indians with weapons and supplies hoping they would use them on the Americans.
  • Battle of Lake Erie/Put-In-Bay
  • - The Embargo act limited overseas trade, especially with France and England who were at war with each other. - The U.S. believed the British were arming the Indians and encouraging them to attack American settlers.
  • The Burning of Washington D.c.
  • The Natives and Britain fought at sea AGAIN on, August 19th 1815. This battle was between the USS Constitution and HMS Guerriere from Great Britain. The Guerriere on the Constitution, starting the battle.
  • Battle of Baltimore 
  • English and American forces battled at Lake Erie in the Put-In-Bay on September 10th, 1813. The Americans took control of the battle using heavy power to weaken the Royal Navy. The Americans won.
  • General Robert Ross led British troop to attack Washington, D.C., with the orders to destroy everything in the path up to the captial 
  • The 5000 men British army marched down toward Baltimore to fight the Americans at the Battle of North Point. The united states held its ground forcing the Brtish fleet to withdraw. An American flag flew over the next day signaling a victory for the U.S.
