The Quartering Act is where the colonies are forced to let soldiers live in their house and they must provide a bed and meals for the soldiers.

The Intolerable Acts
Five people were killed in the Boston massacre. Only two soldiers were found guilty as the others were acting in self defense.The date was 1763. It started out as an argument between a small group of redcoats and local patriots. Someone yelled fire but no one could tell who the soldiers thought it was their captain. So they fired. Their captain shouted to stop firing.
They were also told they had to pay high taxes on the This tax was called the Tea Act.This didn't seem fair to the colonies as they were not represented in British Parliament and didn't have a say on how the taxes should be done. They refused to pay taxes on the tea and asked that the tea be returned to England. When it wasn't, they decided to protest Britain's unfair taxes by throwing the tea into the ocean.
The first intolerable act was the Boston port act.The second act was the Massachusetts government act. The third act was the administration with justice act. The fourth act was the quartering act.
