Lizabeth over hears her mother and father talking. Then she hears her father burst out in tears because he is so sad and upset that his wife is working and supporting the family and he is just searching for job every day.
Lizbeth is upset about what is going on. Her family is in poverty and she heard her dad crying like a child because he felt that it was not right the her mom was the one working and doing all the work and that he was not able to help with the family income.
