Storyboard Text

  • Johnny, a troubled kid, sees another classmate crying for no particular reason. He then starts to think about the kid.
  • Now I have to go back to the streets and look for food.
  • Hmm. I wonder what's wrong with him. What a baby!
  • Dude quit it. You don't know what goes on in his life.
  • Jose, our main character, overhears Johnny talking badly about him behind his back. Johnny is talking to Jerald, Jose's best friend.
  • Man. Whats the deal with that kid over there. He's such a crybaby.
  • Nothing! I don't want to talk about it!
  • When Jose overhears johnny, he runs away. Jerald finds him at the gas station and tries to talk to him.
  • Bro! What's wrong? Why were you crying yesterday?
  • The next day, Jose isn't at school. He doesn't like how he is treated, so he ran away. Jerald is mad at Johnny for hurting Jose's feelings.
  • You should've been nicer to that kid. Now he doesn't want to go to school.
  • Yea. Well I don't care about that dumb kid!
  • After school, Jerald runs to go find Jose. When he finds Jose, he is crying behind a gas pump.
  • Right now my family is having problems with the money. So I can't go to school.
  • Why weren't you at school today?
  • Jerald takes Jose over to his house, and offers to let Jose stay at his house, or go to a shelter for the poor. Jose accepts Jerald's offer to stay at his house.
  • Here. You can stay as long as you like. Or you can go to a shelter and stay there while your family gets some money.
  • Oh.Ok.
