Storyboard Text

  • There lived in Spain a 50-year-old fashinable gentleman who is well known as "the good Mr. Quixana.
  • He spend almost all of his time reading stories of knights and knightly deeds, magic and witchcraft, tournaments and battles.
  • He equipped himself with an old coat of mail that he polished and an old brass helmet which he patched with a green ribbon. He then called himself Don Quixote.
  • He looked for a horse which will be his steed, a gaunt, thin, and very bony horse caught his sight. He spent four days in studying what he should call his steed. Then the horse was called Rozinante, in which the word rozin mean common horse and ante eans before.
  • Don Quixote arose very early, he mounted and rode silently away through the sleeping village and the fields. On his way he thought of giving up but continued instead. The sun was just singking in the west when he saw a little inn in the valley.
  • Don Quixote begs the innkeeper to do him the honor to properly be a knight. In the process of guarding his armor, a commotion has alarmed the innkeeper and quickly performs a knighting ceremony and sends Don Quixote on his way.
