Driven with anger and revenge, Grendel's mother is drawn out of the swamps to Herot. She begins murdering men, more powerful and faster than Grendel. Hrothgar sends a messenger for Beowulf again.
Seeing weapons couldn't weaken her, Beowulf grabs a sword hammered by giants and blessed with magic. Beowulf stabs Grendel's mother in the neck and cuts through her bones and successfully kills her.
FIGHT WITH THE DRAGON AND BEOWULF'S DEATH
A long time after Beowulf is now old with age. Beowulf fights a dragon that lives in his lair near the waters, alongside Wiglaf. In the fight, Beowulf's sword Naegling fails him and Beowulf is poisoned by the Dragon's bite. Wiglaf continued the battle and won.
Wiglaf was left sadly watching his beloved king motionless. Beowulf's body was a torn and bloody corpse, but the killer the dragon, was dead. The dragon's treasure, bought with blood.
With God's good grace alone, he won his own revenge. Beowulf's strength saved us. Your lord gave you the armor and swords you stand in now. Fate has swept him away. He will sleep in the fire soon, his soul leaves in glory.
