  • ATP (cellular energy)
  • Mitochondria
  • Food (glucose) is eaten and it is transferred to the mitochondria. The intake of oxygen (O2), water (H2O), and carbon dioxide (CO2) is also needed.
  • Glucose is transferred into the mitochondria and then turned into ATP (energy).
  • ATP energy is then released when running or doing something active.
