  • "The Cask of Amontillado"  Author: Edgar Allan Poe
  • "Ho--- Come. Let us go".
  • "Go where?"
  • "To your vaults. To taste the wine".
  • "Ahh! A very fine wine, indeed! But the Amontillado?"
  • "It is farther on. Come."
  • "And I, Fortunato-- I drink to your long life".
  • "The Cask of Amontillado" is a dark and cold story and the characters are Fortunato and Montresor. Montresor tries to get revange on Fortunato for making fun of the Montrsor name.
  • Fortunato was making fun of the Montresor family name and  Montressor found a way to trick him into going to his cell.
  • Montresor was tricking  Fortunato down  to the cell  and made  it seem there was nothing to worry about down there. Montresor gave him wine to drink to relax   him.
  • "But is it not to late? Should we not be going back? They will be expecting us. Let us go."
  • "Yes. Let us go."
  • "Yes. For the love of God!" 
  • "Montresor! For the love of God!"
  • Montresor  chained  Fortunato  to the wall for part of his revenge. Told him to put his hand on the wall and feel the water run down. Fortunato was assuming this  was a joke. 
  • Throwing bones to the side and looking for the stones he took down before. As Fortunato is struggling to get out of the chains.
  • As Montresor  put the last stone in he soon felt a deep hole in his stomach. He covered the wall with bones and returned back to the surface.
