After acquiring poison Romeo heads towards the vault of the Capulets where he will see the love of his life one last time before he kills himself. Benvolio does not know of his plan and thinks Romeo is going to retrieve a family heir loom.
Come Benvolio we shall retrieve my ring from the Capulets vault
As he heads down to the vault he encounters Paris who stops him and challenges him to fight. Romeo then repeatedly tells him to get out of his way, and if he had to he would quickly strike him down in the blink of an eye.
Romeo this isn't a good idea
I don't want to fight you
I shall avenge Tybalt and thy only way into thy vault is though me Romeo
.With ease, Paris unarms Romeo and takes a fatal blow to the stomach. Romeo falls to the ground in agony as Benvolio helplessly watches him die. Paris celebrates the victory and quickly enters the vault to see Juliet's "dead" corpse
I avenge Tybalt and my lady Juliet with your death
As he enters he sees Juliet lying on top of a tomb without life. He begins to cry in agony because of how she was going to be his wife and then curses at why such a beautiful girl in perfect health could die at such a young age.
O how could this world be so cruel to let such a beautiful girl die at such a young age
Juliet wakes up and expects to see Romeo and instead sees Paris. He explained that he killed Romeo in honor of Tybalt. Juliet immediately began to whale in agony. Paris who thought he had done well was confused.
I am here for you my beloved wife for I have killed foul Romeo
Where is my husband when I woke up he was supposed to be here by my side I knew this wretched plan wouldn't work
In anger, Juliet picks up a dagger and slashes at Paris and cuts a deep wound into his chest. Shortly after she stabs herself so that she can see Romeo in her afterlife, and as Paris dies he wonders why she was infuriated by the new of Romeo's death and realizes that she truly loved Romeo and not him.
