  • When Mercutio is dying he curses both the Montegues and Capulets. This shows foreshadow because it makes you think that things will not end well.
  • This is an example of a Soliloquy because because Juliet was saying her thoughts out loud.
  • The audience knows that Juliet is already married to Romeo, but her parents don't know this. Therefore this is an example of dramatic irony.
