Storyboard Text

  • There once was a bear named Daedalus, and a pig named Icarus. One day they were punished by King Minos after Daedalus helped to murder the land's most dangerous beast.
  • I am so creative! I invented a saw to help us break out of the prison! If only we had a way to quickly but safely escape from the tower...
  • There once was a bear named Daedalus, and his son, a pig named Icarus. They were locked up in a very tall tower that was too high to escape from.
  • Looking up at the birds, Daedalus realized that he could build wings so that they could escape from the tall tower.
  • It is so boring up here Papa. I cannot take this anymore!
  • Patience son. I am making some wings so we can fly. I just need a little more wax and some feathers.
  • Daedalus made a big pair for him, and a small pair for his son.
  • The day of their escape had come and they flew off to a nearby beach.
  • Papa, this is so fun! Let's fly faster!
  • We must take our time and be careful. We do not want to get hurt, son.
  • They arrived on the beach and decided to fly off somewhere where they could start a new life. But first, Daedalus warned his son about some of the dangers that come with flying.
  • Okay papa I know. Let's go!
  • Okay son, we are going to fly to Delos. Son, do not fly too high or the Sun will melt your wax and your wings will fall off. Do not fly too low or the waves will moisten your wax. Stay in the middle and follow me.
