  • Rising action
  • You've got to learn how to walk so i wont have to carry you everywhere!
  • Conflict 
  • The exposition is when the characters are introduced to the story. in this case, Mom, Dad, Doodle, and the brother are introduced to the story
  • Climax
  • poor birdie
  • The rising action is when the brother and the family thought doodle was a dissapoinment. 
  • Falling action
  • The conflict in this story is that the brother is tired of taking Doodle with him and he wants Doodle to do everything that a "normal" brother can do
  • Resolution 
  • The climax was when Doodle finds the scarlet ibis dead while they were eating dinner
  • The brother notices that doodle isn't following him and as he turns around he sees Doodle dead on the floor, Doodle's body gave up on him when he tried to run in back of his brother. So the brother covers Doodle from the rain.
  • Doodle wake up please
  • Up to this day the brother remembers that day like it was yesterday and he has to live with his guiltiness that his pride was the one that killed Doodle.
