One problem we face is water sustainability. Plastics pollute our water and there may be ways to fix this. Ocean pollution is a mayor part of climate change. Solutions include mutant enzymes that break down plastic and amazing organizations that are determined to clean the ocean and surrounding areas.
Even with pollution, loose regulations, and decreasing populations of wildlife, people and scientists are coming up with solutions to save our Earth. We have 11 years until climate change is irreversible.
A mutant enzyme created by scientists has the possibility of breaking down plastic and not changing nor affecting the water. Instead of animals ingesting the toxic chemicals, the water remains the same, with much less plastic.
"4 Ocean" is an organization that cleans the ocean and beaches, collecting over 1 million pounds of trash. They turn the plastic into bracelets and end up recycling the plastic as well.
With help from around the world, there are many different possible solutions to climate change. Helping locally helps more than people think, and scientists are are researching everyday to save our only home: Earth.
It's possible to keep developing as a society with cities, buildings, and using nonrenewable resources. We just need to make smart decisions.
