These are upset colonist in protest of the Tea Taxes. They dumped $650,000 worth of tea, into the sea. This happened in 1773 and is an event now called "The Boston Tea Party"

In the year of 1764 the British passed the act called "The Sugar Act" which meant the colonist would have to pay extra taxes when buying molasses and sugar. This caused colonist to smuggle/steal sugar.

The "Stamp Act" was passed on March 22, 1764. It stated that all the legal documents , licenses, newspapers, etc. had to be taxed. In order to receive the stamp they have to receive your taxes first.
